This season we have four new styles of Edwin available in their Sen Selvage collection. Edwin has really structured a large assortment of their new collection around the SEN fit and we couldn’t be more happy.

This season we have four different style denim consisting of indigo vintage 505ZX heavy weight denim, light blue classic wash, midnight black straight slim and lastly the classic raw indigo.

When it comes to denim the three most important aspects a lot of us hold important are quality, fit and comfort. Edwin is a Japanese brand that  has been in the denim game for more then 60 years and has developed a variety of different styles, cuts, washes in the pursuit of making the perfect denim.  Part of there fall/winter 2010 collection Edwin reintroduced a classic vintage style SEN selvage, which is perfect for the person who likes the straight slim style denim.

Some of the best craftsmanship and manufacturers are found in Japan, giving Japanese denim the title best quality title. SEN salvage style that dropped in Room 322 is a 11oz dry raw salvage, which means it is still in its raw unwashed state. This give the denim a really stiff feel, yet soft which is ideal with raw denim.

Some of the small details that are incorporated into the SEN salvage denim are the twisted pocket and selvage edge pocket seam. This gives the overall image of the denim a unique look, but gives it edge over similar raw denim.

One of the dopest detail that was incorporated into the SEN selvage denim is the 1940s vintage style waist clinch that is found on the back of the denim. Before Levis invited the belt loop, this clinch was used to tighten the waist of denim. Even though it has no purpose in present time due to majority of people rocking belts, it is a nice added detail to SEN denim. It still can be used to tighten the waist of the denim, but looks better as just an aesthetic detail to the vintage style denim.

One of the often overlooked detail that separates Japanese denim from traditional American denim is the cloth lined back pockets that give the pockets more strength. People forget, but in the past denim was designed for coal miners, farmers etc and would place tools in there back pocket.

Really the pictures here do not give the denim justice and are a pair of jeans that you must try on. The fit on these denim are bang on and are fitted to the point that they are still comfortable, yet clean. It will be amazing to see what they denim will look like after 1-2 years!

The underlining principle of PRPS is to produce “Denim with a Purpose”. PRPS (Short for Purpose) strives to achieve the perfect denim through washing techniques, manufacturing and quality materials. In the fashion world PRPS is perfect the high class low profile dresser.

PRPS makes a variety of different styles of denim, but the VDK Barrcuda is a dark wash denim. Throughout the denim you will notice dresses marks and has a brownish fade that give an aged appearance.  Even on the button detail you can see aged appearance chipped away paint. On the inside pant pockets feature the main PRPS character and on the opposite pocket PRPS’ mission statement.

To wrap everything up PRPS is man who pays attention to the detail and respects quality. Expect this brand to hit Room 322 next month, but be sure to drop by to see a pair in person.
