The underlining principle of PRPS is to produce “Denim with a Purpose”. PRPS (Short for Purpose) strives to achieve the perfect denim through washing techniques, manufacturing and quality materials. In the fashion world PRPS is perfect the high class low profile dresser.

PRPS makes a variety of different styles of denim, but the VDK Barrcuda is a dark wash denim. Throughout the denim you will notice dresses marks and has a brownish fade that give an aged appearance.  Even on the button detail you can see aged appearance chipped away paint. On the inside pant pockets feature the main PRPS character and on the opposite pocket PRPS’ mission statement.

To wrap everything up PRPS is man who pays attention to the detail and respects quality. Expect this brand to hit Room 322 next month, but be sure to drop by to see a pair in person.

It is great to see Canada is recognized for more then just Hockey, especially in the fashion world. Canada Goose is a preimum outerwear company based in the great white north. They have been around for more then 50 years and have the huge demand across the world. They specialize in high quality winter jackets, but for 2010 they recently began focusing lightweight jackets in order become a year round jacket manufacture. The Pearson Field jacket is part of Canada Goose’s lightweight collection, which is a fresh addition to the lineup.

The Pearson Field Jacket is a waterproof jacket that features a non-stick durable water repellent with a breathable lining. It has a variety of features consisting of two-way zipper, handy waist drawcords, and a low-profile collar with a stow-away hood and much more. This jacket has a very clean style, allowing it be paired up with pretty much anything in your closet. It comes in three colors black, blue and military green. This jacket is perfect for those rainy, or cool days in the city, or out in the wilderness, but definitely a must stylish conservative!

Traditionally Jordan has released all there shoes on Saturdays, but in order to coincide the Jordan America and Jordan Canada pushed the release date to July 1st Canada day!

This is one of the most talked about colorway in Jordan 9 for 2010 because of the black/black with the citrus hit on the jump23 logo and inner lining of the shoe. Unlike, recently release Jordan 6 releases, Jordan 9 shoe features black leather and 3M giving it a fresh finish. These bad boys will not last, so stop by before you miss out!!

Transmission of Style is a new project that we are starting at Room 322 to showcase people unique perceptive on style. Streetwear has always been a faceless type of fashion, which people can mold to anything they see fit and it is always cool to see people’s spin on it. This series was inspired by Jake Davis’s Test Shots that has brought a very interesting perspective of fashion to the world.

First candidate in the series is the lovely Maria. She has been with Room 322 since the beginning, but mostly behind the scenes helping with the online store and Room 322 events.  She can been seen to be always rocking a fresh pair of sneakers on a daily basis, which is her added flair. Within Edmonton it seems majority of ladies are constantly rocking skinny jeans/ leggings/ yoga pants, but Maria is proof that the baggy look fresh!

Proud owner of Room 322’s NookaNooka Toy

The world of Nooka is far from normal. Couple months ago Room 322 teamed with a local artist Kalypzo to design print for Nooka’s newest toy (NookaNooka). Over 30 stores across North America competed for a chance to have their shops represented by Nooka.

After a few weeks of voting Room 322 came on top and recently Nooka just released the collaboration! These NookaNooka mini are part of Nooka Second Edition release featuring our winning design. We just like to personally thank Nena and everyone who voted!! The NookaNooka toys are now available at Room 322 and will be online later today!

Today starts a new beginning for Room 322. When the blog first stated we have originally wanted to showcase the lifestyle of Room 322 and the raw experiences that we faced from day 1. Finally, we have the opportunity to fully express Room 322 behind the scenes.

June 10, 2010 marks bobbyt graduation from university finally, allowing full time  focus from Room 322. It is important to say the picture above showcase the people behind the scene that made this Graduation possible. Dredi sharpm, my mother, grandmother and my father made everything possible. Without these people in my life I would not have the drive and passion to A) Take over the world and B) create Room 322. To start things off with a bang we will take you from a unique point of view of JA (Jamaica) from the tourist/ RAW side of things.

Today I caught the midnight flight out of Edmonton to Toronto with a few members of Jamaican Association of Northern Alberta ( JANA). JANA is an organization that Room 322 volunteers with in order to give back to the community. This organization is grown and expanded through handwork and perseverance of a group of individuals.

JA is not the most highest grousing nation , but does very well as tourist based economy. The travel to resort was very interesting showcasing a variety of different venues and communities in Jamaica. One of the best things about traveling is the amount of knowledge and experiences acquired throughout the trip.

Today, I noticed that a lot of people traveling to JA were working Jays. From Spizikes, to a few of the retros (Jordan 1, 3, and 9) it was  one of the hottest footwear rocked by general public.  Always nice to see a family Rocking Jays, which just shows how comfortable these shoes have become. Travel was long and almost endless, but none the less was a great experience.

This will be my office for the next 7 days. I will be trying to showcase some of the fashion out here and in addition to that focus on the lifestyle of Room 322. We are just not a store, we are a lifestyle. Check out the pictures below and check back tomorrow for Day 2 feature Jamaican’s nightlife!
