The Hill-Side Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

This season, New York based brand, The Hill-Side has dropped another strong collection featuring a variety of new prints and heavy weight fabrics. This brand specializes in neckties, pocket squares, bandana and scarves in a different fabrics that will complement you personal style. Room 322 will have variety of scarves available from this collection for the Fall, so check back soon.

This blog post is a long time over due, but Restored Soles 2011 was a great success. For those not familiar with the project, Room 322 partnered with two local Jamaican organizations JANA & the Honorary Consult of Jamaica in Edmonton to host a sneaker drive for youth in Jamaica.
I am proud to say that we met our goal and raised over 500 pairs of sneakers to send to Jamaica. This wouldn’t be possible without the large amount of volunteers, but more importantly you the supporters! All of your donations will have such a big impact on the youth in Jamaica. If you didn’t have a chance to make it down to the event you missed out on some amazing Jamaican cuisine provided by JANA consisting of Jerk Chicken, Roti, Patties, and assortment of Jamaican pops.
Restored Soles held a second event and partnered with Red Star pub on their monthly Reggae Parties evenings. If you never been to these monthly make sure to check out this Wednesday, October 5 at Red Star.

Creep Fall 2011 Collection

Newest edition to Room 322′s lineup is the work wear brand Creep. This line stand out from the rest through the brand’s unique fit, fabrics, details and cleanness. Creep was founded in Osaka, Japan by Kiyofumi Awai in 1997. In 2008, Hiroshi Awai, based in Toronto, joined Creep as men’s creative director and since then, Hiroshi has taken the line a new direction by combining Japanese designs with classic workwear.

Kidrobot Fall 2011

Once again Kidrobot is available at Room 322. Over the last few months we have received request to bring back the brand, so this Fall marks the brands comeback to Room 322.
The first drop of the Fall collection consist of tees, snapbacks, and hoodies of the classic Kidrobot characters. One of the highlighted pieces is the SSUR x Kidrobot hoodie collaboration, which was inspired by toy from Kidrobot’s Black Collection . Like in the past this brand does not stay in stock long, so drop by soon before you miss out.

Timberland – Abington Collection

Timberland over the last few years has been developing a collection of boots that were inspired by people who worked during the harsh winter. The Abington Collection was formed consisting of boots that incorporated modern technology such as Gore-Tex, Vibram outsoles and range of fabric & leathers to insure durability and reliability.
The first boot on deck at Room 322 is the Guild Boot, which features a deep grey suade upper on a Vibram sole. Unlike most boots, the Vibram sole makes the boots very light and comfortable. It comes with a set of two laces both red and black and is laced through metal eyelets will out last most boots. The upper has subtle red stitching details that add a nice contrast and a quilted leather inner that will keep water out during the winter.
These boots will only get better with time and are now available at Room 322.
